To 4-chloro-3-(3,5-dichloro-pyridin-2-yl)-benzoic acid (60 mg, 0.2 mmol) in dry DCM (0.6 mL) was added DMF (1 drop) followed by slow addition of oxalyl chloride (30 μL, 0.34 mmol). The mixture was stirred for 2.5 hrs, then concentrated to yield the corresponding 4-chloro-3-(3,5-dichloro-pyridin-2-yl)benzoyl chloride which was dissolved in DCM (1 mL). Cyclopropyl-(2-methoxy-phenyl)-amine (55 mg, 0.34 mmol), followed by diisopropylethylamine (71 μL, 0.4 mmol) were added slowly. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 hrs, concentrated and purified by preparative LCMS to yield 4-chloro-N-cyclopropyl-3-(3,5-dichloro-pyridin-2-yl)-N-(2-methoxy-phenyl)-benzamide 18-1.
