A suspension of 4-chloro-6-methoxy-7-(3-methylsulphonylpropoxy)quinazoline (150 mg, 0.45 mmol) and 5-hydroxy-2-trifluoromethylindole (109 mg, 0.54 mmol), (prepared as described for the starting material in Example 44), in DMF (1.5 ml) containing potassium carbonate (94 mg, 0.67 mmol) was heated at 100° C. for 1 hour. After cooling, the precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with ether, and dried under vacuum to give 6-methoxy-7-(3-methylsulphonylprop oxy)-4-(2-trifluoromethylindol-5-yloxy)quinazoline (195 mg, 87%).
