A solution of 4-chloro-6-methoxy-7-(3-pyrrolidin-1-ylpropoxy)quinazoline (100 mg, 0.31 mmol), (prepared as described for the starting material in Example 9), 6-hydroxyindole (50 mg, 0.37 mmol) and potassium carbonate (64 mg, 0.466 mmol) in DMF (1 ml) was heated at 95° C. for 4 hours. After cooling, the mixture was diluted with methylene chloride and poured onto a silica column. The product was eluted with methylene chloride, followed by methylene chloride/methanol (80/20 followed by 70/30 and 50/50). After removal of the solvent by evaporation, the precipitate was triturated with ether, filtered and dried under vacuum to give 6-methoxy-4-(indol-6-yloxy)-7-(3-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)propoxy)quinazoline (90 mg, 69%).
