A reaction mixture of 2-(9-amino-7-bromo-4-fluoro-2-methoxy-9H-xanthen-9-yl)ethanol (8.8 g, 23.90 mmol) and benzoyl isothiocyanate (3.22 ml, 23.90 mmol) in THF (200 ml) was stirred at RT for 1 hour.
