tert-Butyl (2S,4S)-2-aminocarbonyl-4-fluoro-1-pyrrolidinecarboxylate obtained in Example 7-8 (46 g) was dissolved in 4N HCl in dioxane (200 mL) and the resulting mixture was stirred for 10 minutes at room temperature. After removal of the solvent, the resulting residue was triturated with ethyl acetate to give the target compound as a white powder (34 g).
