To a solution of 8.8 g 1-[5-(5-Chloro-thiophen-2-yl)-isoxazol-3-ylmethyl]-2-(1-isopropyl-piperidin-4-ylcarbamoyl)-1H-indole-5-carboxylic acid methyl ester in 200 ml THF and 100 ml methanol 58.5 ml of a 1 M aqueous LiOH solution were added and the mixture was heated to 70° C. for 4 h. After cooling to RT the organic solvents were removed under reduced pressure and the remaining aqueous solution was acidified with half concentrated HCl to pH 2. The precipitated product was collected by filtration. Yield: 7.9 g.
