To a solution of (2R,5S)-5-chloro-2-{2-[4-(4-fluoro-benzyl)-2,5-dimethyl-piperazin-1-yl]-2-oxo-ethoxy}-benzyl amine (0.060 g, 0.143 mmol) in methylene chloride (3 mL) was added 2-(1,3-dioxo-1,3-dihydro-isoindol-2-yl)-ethanesulfonyl chloride (0.043 g, 0.150 mmol) and triethylamine (0.060 mL, 0.43 mmol) and the solution was stirred 1 hr at ambient temperature. The reaction was diluted with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate and extracted with methylene chloride. The combined organics were dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated in vacuo. Chromatography on silica gel gave the title compound (0.073 g, 77%).
