To a mixture of Compound 35 (1.0 g, 6.0 mmol) and NaH (280 mg, 7.0 mmol) in DMF (12 ml) was added MeI (1.0 g, 7.0 mmol) at room temperature. After the mixture was stirred for 22 hours, the mixture was poured into H2O (30 ml), and extracted with CH2Cl2. The combined extracts were dried (Na2SO4), and concentrated to give a yellow oil (3 g), which was purified by a column chromatography on silica gel to give Compound 35 as a colorless solid (900 mg, 81%).
