Procedure

Potassium carbonate (70 mg, 0.51 mmol) was added to a solution of 8-fluoro-7-(2-fluoro-4-methylphenylamino)-3-trimethylsilanylethynylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-6-carboxylic acid methyl ester in MeOH (5 mL) and stirred at room temperature for two hours. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with brine (2×), dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated to a brown residue. Flash column chromatography (dichloromethane to 80:1 dichloromethane/MeOH) provided the desired product (16 mg, 65%) as a yellow liquid. MS APCI (+) m/z 342 (M+1) detected.

Workup

  1. washwashed with brine (2×)
  2. dry with materialdried over Na2SO4
  3. concentrationconcentrated to a brown residue
