2-(4-tert-Butoxycarbonylamino-2-pyridyl)-4H-1,3-benzo thiazine-4-one (100 mg, 0.28 mmol) was dissolved in trifluoroacetic acid (2.5 ml) under ice cooling condition, and the mixture was stirred for 5 hrs. The reaction mixture was combined with diisopropyl ether to precipitate crystals, which were collected by filtration, washed with diethyl ether and dried to give the titled compound (109 mg, 60%).
