Procedure

Ethyl 1-[3-(1-quinolin-6-ylcyclopropyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-6-yl]-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (0.42 g, 1.0 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (10 mL), and was treated with an aqueous solution of lithium hydroxide (0.048 g, 2.0 mmol) in water (5 mL). The mixture was stirred at 50° C. for 2 h, cooled to RT, neutralized with 1N HCl (2 mL). The volatiles were removed under reduced pressure. The residue was co-evaporated with toluene (3×), and dried to afford the desired product which was directly used in next step. LCMS: (M+H)=397.1.
