Procedure
Triethylamine (0.387 mL, 1.533 mmol) and methyl bromoacetate (0.146 mL, 1.533 mmol) were added at 0° C. to a solution of 3-[4-(3-fluoro-benzenesulfonyl)-2-methyl-phenyl]-pyrrolidine (0.445 g, 1.393 mmol) in DCM (5 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours, then concentrated under reduced pressure, and the crude residue was purified via flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH/NH4OH) to give 0.410 g (84% yield) of {3-[4-(3-fluoro-benzenesulfonyl)-2-methyl-phenyl]-pyrrolidin-1-yl}-acetic acid methyl ester as a yellow oil.
