To a solution of (1R)-1′-{[1-(4-bromophenyl)cyclopropyl]carbonyl}-3H-spiro[2-benzofuran-1,3′-pyrrolidin]-3-one (20 mg, 0.00005 mol, example 238) in tetrahydrofuran (0.2 mL, 0.002 mol) were added tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) (0.2 mg, 0.0000002 mol), tri-tert-butylphosphine (0.12 mg, 5.8×10−7 mol), (1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)boronic acid (6.8 mg, 0.0000534 mol). The mixture was heated at 120° C. under microwave for 30 minutes. The reaction mixture then was filtered and the filtrate was diluted with methanol and purified with prep-HPLC to afford the desired product. LC/MS: 414.2 (M+H+).
