The compound 2 (1 g, 1.747 mmol), diphenylamine (0.88 g, 5.241 mmol), sodium tert-butoxide (0.51 g, 0.5 mmol), Pd2(dba)3 [(tris(dibenzylidene acetone) dipalladium(0))] (0.08 g, 0.087 mmol), and tri(tert-butyl)phosphine (0.017 g, 0.087 mmol) in a 50 ml round bottom flask were dissolved with toluene (10 mL), and the reaction mixture was refluxed for 12 hours. After the reaction was terminated, the reaction solution was cooled to a room temperature and extracted with distilled water (100 ml). The combined organic layers were dried over MgSO4, concentrated, and purified by silica gel column chromatography. The eluate was concentrated and dried to give a material 1 represented by Formula 9 (10.9 g, yield: 70%).
