A mixture of the product of step d) (1.79 g), tert-butyldimethylsilylchloride (1.22 g) and imidazole (1.10 g) in N,N-dimethylformamide (3 ml) was stirred at ambient temperature for 24 hours. Further tert-butyldimethylsilylchloride (1.0 g) was added and the mixture stirred for a further 6 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue purified by chromatography (SiO2, ethyl acetate: hexane 1:20 as eluant) to afford the sub-title compound (2.43 g).
