To a solution of 6-chloro-2-methyl-3-nitropyridine (0.5 g, 2.9 mmol) in pyrrolidine (0.7 mL, 8.7 mmol) was added K2CO3 (0.8 g, 5.8 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 110° C. for 2 h.
