To a solution of 4,6-dichloronicotinamide (73 mg, 0.38 mmol) in NMP (0.75 mL) was added (3-(pyridine-2-yl)phenyl)methanamine (77 mg, 0.42 mmol) and DIPEA (0.22 mL, 1.33 mmol). After stirring at 80° C. for 15 h, the mixture was added water, the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration to give 6-chloro-4-(3-(pyridine-2-yl)benzylamino)nicotinamide (56 mg).
