4-(4-Nitrophenoxy)piperidine (2.70 mmol, 600 mg), 2-(4-(bromomethyl)phenyl)-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropan-2-ol (2.70 mmol, 910 mg) and potassium carbonate (5.40 mmol, 746 mg) were combined and stirred at 70° C. in acetonitrile (20 mL) overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered and the filtrate concentrated under vacuum to afford the title compound. MS (ESI) m/z 490.0 [M+H]+
