To the title compound of step C (56 mg, 0.3 mmol) was added MeOH (0.6 mL) and 2M NaOH(aq) (0.6 mL). After 1 h at rt, 1M HCl(aq) was added. The reaction mixture was concentrated to give the title compound (52 mg) that was used without further purification in subsequent steps. MS (ESI) mass calcd. for C10H8N2O3, 204.2; m/z found 205.1 [M+H]+.
