Procedure

Combined 6-(4-(4-cyanophenyl)-5-hydroxy-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-4-methylnicotinic acid (200 mg, 0.625 mmol), HATU (356.25 mg, 0.938 mmol) and triethylamine (315.63 mg, 3.125 mmol) and stirred at room temperature for 0.5 h. Then methanamine (108.75 mg, 1.25 mmol) was added and the reaction was stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction mixture was purified by preparative HPLC to afford the title compound as a light yellow solid (88.38 mg, 42.46%). 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 8.59 (brs, 1H), 8.49-8.48 (m, 1H), 8.43 (s, 1H), 8.27 (s, 1H), 8.11 (m, 2H), 7.77 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 2H), 2.79 (d, J=4.4 Hz, 3H), 2.48 (s, 3H). MS m/Z [M+H]+ 334.1.
