A mixture of {6-methyl-8-[4-(1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-3-ylmethyl)-[1,4]diazepan-1-yl]-quinolin-7-yloxy}-acetic acid ethyl ester (500 mg, 1.0 mmol) and 2 N NaOH (1 ml, 2 mmol) in THF (3 ml) was stirred at rt for 3 hrs. The solution was then neutralized with 1 N HCl, extracted with mixed solvent (CH2Cl2:iPrOH 80:20) and purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel to give a light yellow solid (300 mg, 64%). MS (ES) m/z 472.2 (M+H+).
