Crude 5-methyl-7-neopentyl-3-(phenylthio)-2H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine-4,6(5H,7H)-dione (40 mg, 0.12 mmol), 1-(4-(bromomethyl)phenyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (28 mg, 0.12 mmol) and K2CO3 (16 mg, 0.12 mmol) are suspended in 5 mL of anhydrous DMF. The reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature overnight, and then evaporated to dryness under reduced pressure. The residue is purified by silica gel column chromatography to give pure product as white solids. MS (ESI) m/z 502.2 [M+H]+.
