A mixture of 5-{[(2-chloro-4-pyrimidinyl)amino]methyl}-2-{[4-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]oxy}benzo-nitrile (200 mg, 0.455 mmol), DABCO (25.5 mg, 0.228 mmol) and potassium carbonate (252 mg, 1.821 mmol) in a mixed solvents of 1,4-Dioxane (5 mL) and water (5.00 mL) was stirred at 80° C. overnight. Purification via MDAP, afforded the title compound (150 mg) as a white solid. LC-MS (ESI): m/z 421 [M+H]+; 2.63 min (ret time).
