To a solution of tert-butyl (3-{[(3-aminobenzyl)sulfonyl]amino}phenyl)carbamate (0.64 g, 1.7 mmol) and 2,4,5-trichloropyrimidine (0.28 g, 1.5 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) was added potassium carbonate (0.26 g, 1.8 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. The reaction was quenched with sat'd NH4Cl and water. EtOAc was then added and the layers separated. The aqueous phase was extracted with EtOAc. The combined organics were washed with water and brine then dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated to give the desired product (0.75 g, 92%). LCMS for C22H23Cl2N5O4S (M-tBu+H)+: m/z=467.9, 469.9.
