N-Acetyl-N-{5-[7-trifluoromethyl-5-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-3-ylethynyl]-pyrimidin-2-yl}-acetamide (example 244) (56 mg, 0.1 mmol) was dissolved in ammonia (200 uL) and THF (5 mL), stirred for 15 minutes at 23° C., then 1N HCl and water added until pH=1. The product was filtered off, washed with water and dried in vacuum to give the title compound as a yellow solid (49 mg, 95%). MS (ISP) 491.2 [(M+H)+]; mp 293° C.
