Procedure

3-(4-Chlorophenyl)-1-(2,2-diethoxyethyl)-1-(1-((2R,3R)-3-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)butan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)urea obtained in Step 4 (0.07 g, 0.12 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (2 mL) and 1N-HCl (2 mL) was added thereto. The mixture was refluxed for 2 hours, and neutralized using aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate. The resulting mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (10 mL), and the extract was washed successively with distilled water (10 mL) and brine (10 mL). The organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated by evaporation under a reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel chromatography to obtain the title compound (0.056 g, yield 95%).
