A suspension of 4-morpholinobutan-1-amine (0.63 g, 4.00 mmol), 1,2-difluoro-4-nitrobenzene (0.64 g, 4.00 mmol) and K2CO3 (1.10 g, 8.00 mmol) in acetonitrile (20 mL) was stirred at rt for 19 h under N2, then filtered. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give the crude product for the next step without further purification.
