A mixture of N-(2-(1H-indol-2-yl)ethyl)-2-fluoro-4-nitroaniline (2.32 g, 7.75 mmol) and Pd/C (0.60 g) in mixed solvents of EtOAc (25 mL) and MeOH (25 mL) was stirred at rt under H2 overnight. The mixture was then filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give the crude product, which was used for next step without further purification.
