To [2′-(1-ethyl-3-methyl-ureidomethyl)-5,4′-bis-trifluoromethyl-biphenyl-3-yl]-acetic acid methyl ester (0.18 mmol) was added 1:1 1N aqueous LiOH: 1,4-dioxane (2 mL), and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. 10% Aqueous HCl was added to acidify the solution to pH 3, and the mixture was extracted with EtOAc. The crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography to give the title compound. M+H is 463.
