3.85 g 2-Chloro-5-nitro-N-(1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-5-yl)-benzamide in 600 ml THF were hydrogenated over 2.5 g platinum on carbon at atmospheric pressure over night at RT. The catalyst was removed by filtration and the filtrate evaporated. The residue was purified by chromatography on silica eluting first with ethyl acetate and finally ethyl acetate/methanol mixtures.
