Procedure

N-[2-Acetylthiomethyl-5-(p-methoxybenzyloxycarbonylamino)pentanoyl]-L-proline tert-butyl ester (2 g.) is dissolved in a mixture of trifluoroacetic acid (15 ml.) and anisole (6 ml.). The solution is stored at room temperature for one hour, the solvents are removed in vacuo and the residue is precipitated from ethyl acetate-ether to yield N-(2-acetylthiomethyl-5-aminopentanoyl)-L-proline, trifluoroacetate.

Workup

  1. customthe solvents are removed in vacuo
  2. customthe residue is precipitated from ethyl acetate-ether
