To a stirring solution of Boc-azetidine-3-carboxylic acid (162 mg, 0.8 mmol) in anhydrous NMP (4 mL) was added CDI (131 mg, 0.8 mmol). The reaction was stirred for 10 minutes. N-(2-fluoro-5-(N′-hydroxycarbamimidoyl)phenyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carboxamide (50) (125 mg, 0.4 mmol) was added and the reaction was stirred for 15 minutes, then heated via microwave at 125° C. for 15 minutes. The crude was purified via reverse phase HPLC to afford tert-butyl 3-(3-(4-fluoro-3-(imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carboxamido)phenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)azetidine-1-carboxylate (F27) as a white solid. MS m/z 479.2 (M+1)+.
