A mixture of 4-benzothiazol-2-yl-5-(3-bromopropyl)-2H-pyrazol-3-ylamine (130 mg, 0.39 mmol) and methylamine (5 mL of a 2 M solution in THF, 10 mmol) was stirred at room temperature for 60 hrs. The resulting solid was isolated by filtration, washed with THF, and then with water. The product was air dried to yield 38 mg (32%) of the title compound as an off white solid. MS (m/z, ES+): 288.2 (M+1, 100%).
