Procedure
A solution of 6-(2-methoxy-2-oxoethyl)nicotinic acid (37 mg, 0.19 mmol), HATU (72.6 mg, 0.19 mmol), and N-ethyl-N-isopropylpropan-2-amine (26.5 mg, 0.20 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (2 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 15 min, then, dimethyl amine (0.05 mL, 1 mol solution in THF) was added and continued to stir overnight. The reaction is quenched with water, extracted with EtOAc and purified by a standard method to give the desired compound.
