TFA (4 mL) was added to a CH2Cl2 solution (10 mL) of 7-3 (120 mg, 0.48 mmol) and the solution stirred under ambient conditions for 2 h and concentrated to dryness. The residue was azeotroped with toluene (3×25 mL) to provide 7-4 as a light-yellow semi-solid.
