This compound was obtained following Method B starting from 2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethanamine hydrochloride (0.0452 g, 0.192 mmol), 5-phenyl-1,3-oxazole-4-carbonyl chloride (0.041 g; 0.192 mmol), and triethylamine (0.0672 mL; 0.479 mmol) in dichloromethane (3 mL). Flash chromatography on silica gel eluting with 2 to 16% of ethyl acetate in dichloromethane gave 0.028 g (40%) of N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-5-phenyloxazole-4-carboxamide as a solid.
