This compound was obtained following Method B starting from 2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethanamine hydrochloride (0.0454 g, 0.193 mmol), 3-methyl-5-phenyl-4-isoxazolecarbonyl chloride (0.044 g; 0.193 mmol), and triethylamine (0.068 mL; 0.481 mmol) in dichloromethane (3 mL). Flash chromatography on silica gel eluting with 2 to 20% of ethyl acetate in dichloromethane gave 0.0614 g (84%) of N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-3-methyl-5-phenylisoxazole-4-carboxamide as a solid.
