Procedure

Intermediate 14 (0.19 g, 0.488 mmol) was added to sodium ethoxide (ALDRICH, 0.1 g, 1.464 mmol) in ethanol (4 mL). The mixture was heated under microwave irradiation at 120° C. for 30 minutes and solvent was removed under vacuum to yield a yellowish residue. The crude mixture was purified by flash chromatography (Si, eluting with Hexane/EtOAc mixtures from 90:10 to 0:100%) to yield the title compound as a white solid.
