A mixture of bis-(4-methoxy-benzyl)-amine (346 mmol), 5-bromo-3-fluoro-N-methyl-2-nitroaniline (297 mmol) and Et3N (891 mmol) was stirred at 120° C. for 16 h. The mixture was then cooled. The crude was combined with another one obtained following the same procedure described above. The resulting mixture was diluted in EtOAc and washed (2×0.2 M HCl, H2O and sat. NaHCO3). The organic phase was dried (Na2SO4) and concentrated to afford the desired product.
