NaH (7.14 mmol) was added to a solution of 3-fluoro-4-[(3-methylbenzimidazol-5-yl)amino]benzonitrile (2.38 mmol) in THF (10 mL) at 0° C. The mixture was stirred for 30 min. MeI (4.76 mmol) was added and the mixture was stirred at room temperature during 3 h. The mixture was diluted (DCM), washed (H2O) and concentrated. The residue was purified by prep HPLC to yield the desired product (Compound C).
