Procedure

The product of Example 230A (0.034 g, 0.08 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (2 mL) and methanol (0.0064 mL, 0.16 mmol) at 0° C. was treated with dropwise addition of a 2.0M solution of lithium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran (0.06 mL, 0.12 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, acidified with 1 M hydrochloric acid to a pH of approximately 2-4, diluted with water (5 mL), and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried. The crude product was chromatographed on silica gel with 98:2 dichloromethane/methanol to give the title compound. The sodium salt of the title compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 1D. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 0.90 (t, J=6.99 Hz, 3 H) 1.37 (m, 4 H) 1.55 (m, 2 H) 2.73 (m, 2 H) 5.90 (t, J=6.80 Hz, 1 H) 7.07 (t, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 7.26 (m, 2 H) 7.52 (m, 2 H) 7.60 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 7.66 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 8.09 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 16.27 (s, 1 H). MS (ESI−) (M−H)− m/z 425.
