Procedure

The product of Example 251A (0.028 g, 0.064 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (1.3 mL) and methanol (0.005 mL, 0.128 mmol) at 0° C. was treated with dropwise addition of a 2.0M solution of lithium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran (0.050 mL, 0.100 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, acidified with 1M hydrochloric acid to a pH of approximately 2-4, diluted with water (6.0 mL), and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried. The crude product was triturated with diethyl ether and filtered to give the title compound. The sodium salt of the title compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 1D. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 3.79 (m, 2 H) 6.03 (t, J=6.80 Hz, 1 H) 6.65 (s, 1 H) 7.08 (t, J=7.35 Hz, 1 H) 7.27 (m, 3 H) 7.54 (m, 2 H) 7.68 (m, 3 H) 8.08 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 16.26 (s, 1 H). MS (ESI−) m/z 435 (M−H)−.
