Procedure
The product of Example 258A (0.026 g, 0.057 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (1.2 mL) and methanol (0.005 mL, 0.114 mmol) at 0° C. was treated with dropwise addition of a 2.0M solution of lithium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran (0.045 mL, 0.090 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, acidified with 1 M hydrochloric acid to a pH of approximately 2-4, diluted with water (5.0 mL), and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water and dried. The crude product was triturated with dichloromethane/diethyl ether and filtered to give the title compound. The sodium salt of the title compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 1D. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 3.29 (s, 3 H) 3.97 (s, 2 H) 6.02 (t, J=6.62 Hz, 1 H) 7.08 (t, J=7.35 Hz, 1 H) 7.23 (s, 3 H) 7.29 (t, J=7.54 Hz, 2 H) 7.47 (m, 1 H) 7.55 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 2 H) 7.67 (m, 2 H) 8.10 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 16.31 (s, 1 H). MS (ESI−) m/z 459 (M−H)−.
