Procedure
The product of Example 269A (0.075 g, 0.18 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (4 mL) and methanol (0.029 mL, 0.5 mmol) at 0° C. was treated dropwise with a 2.0M solution of lithium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran (0.150 mL, 0.3 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, acidified with 1M hydrochloric acid to a pH of approximately 2-4, diluted with water (15 mL), and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried. The crude product was chromatographed on silica gel with 2% methanol in chloroform to give the title compound. The sodium salt of the title compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 1D. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 0.90 (t, J=7.17 Hz, 3 H) 1.39 (dd, J=15.08, 7.35 Hz, 2 H) 1.50 (m, 2 H) 3.02 (t, J=6.43 Hz, 2 H) 6.65 (s, 1 H) 7.43 (d, J=5.15 Hz, 1 H) 7.55 (t, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 7.64 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 7.77 (t, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 7.92 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 8.34 (d, J=5.15 Hz, 1 H) 14.21 (s, 1 H) 14.83 (s, 1 H). MS (ESI−)m/z 417 (M−H)−.
