Procedure

The product of Example 269A (0.077 g, 0.21 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (4 mL) and methanol (0.030 mL, 0.8 mmol) at 0° C. was treated dropwise with a 2.0M solution of lithium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran (0.200 mL, 0.4 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, acidified with 1M hydrochloric acid to pH of approximately 2-4, diluted with water (15 mL), and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried. The crude product was chromatographed on silica gel with 1% methanol in chloroform to give the title compound. The sodium salt of the title compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 1D. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 1.81 (m, 6 H) 3.85 (m, 1 H) 6.84 (s, 1 H) 7.49 (d, J=5.15 Hz, 1 H) 7.55 (t, J=7.91 Hz, 1 H) 7.62 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 7.78 (t, J=7.91 Hz, 1 H) 7.93 (d, J=8.09 Hz, 1 H) 8.33 (d, J=5.15 Hz, 1 H) 14.21 (s, 1 H) 14.82 (s, 1 H). MS (ESI−) m/z 415 (M−H)−.
