Procedure

The product of Example 269A (0.040 g, 0.09 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (3 mL) and methanol (0.008 mL, 0.19 mmol) at 0° C. was treated dropwise with a 2.0M solution of lithium borohydride in tetrahydrofuran (0.07 mL, 0.14 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 1 hour, acidified with 1M hydrochloric acid a pH of approximately 2-4, diluted with water (10 mL), and the resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried. The crude product was chromatographed on silica gel with 98:2 dichloromethane/methanol to give the title compound. The sodium salt of the title compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 1D. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 1.54 (m, 6 H) 1.74 (m, 2 H) 3.75 (m, 1 H) 5.77 (d, J=3.68 Hz, 1 H) 7.12 (d, J=5.15 Hz, 1 H) 7.19 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 7.26 (t, J=7.17 Hz, 1 H) 7.54 (m, 1 H) 7.64 (d, J=7.72 Hz, 1 H) 7.74 (d, J=5.52 Hz, 1 H) 15.91 (s, 1 H). MS (ESI−) m/z 429 (M−H)−.
