The sulfonamide from Example 4 (150 mg, 0.7 mmol) and the phenylcarbamate of 4,6-dimethoxy-2-aminopyrimidine (202 mg, 0.7 mmol) were dissolved in 5 ml of acetonitrile. 1,8-Diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (112 mg, 0.7 mmol) was added and the reaction was stirred for 30 minutes. Addition of 5 ml of 5% hydrochloric acid resulted in a solid, which was collected and dried to afford 280 mg of the desired product, m.p. 154°-156° C.
