2-Fluoro-5-(prop-2-yn-1-ylcarbamoyl)benzene-1-sulfonyl chloride (3, 2.52 g, 9.14 mmol) was added dropwise to tert-butyl ((2R,4S)-1,2-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-3-oxoheptan-4-yl)carbamate (2.65 g, 9.14 mmol), DIEA (1.91 mL, 10 mmol) and DMAP (0.1 g, 0.914 mmol) in DCM (30 mL) at 0° C. The mixture was allowed to warm to room temperature and stirred overnight. The reaction was washed with 2N HCl and brine, dried (MgSO4) and evaporated. The residue was purified by Biotage flash column chromatography (30% EtOAc/Hep) to give product as an oil (3.62 g, 75%).
