To a solution of 1-(4-bromo-1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-4-(hydroxymethyl)pyrrolidin-2-one (84 mg) and 1H-imidazole (27 mg) in DMF (3.0 mL) was added tert-butyldimethylchlorosilane (54 mg). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 20 hr, and diluted with ethyl acetate. The diluted solution was washed with water and saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (44 mg).
