A similar procedure as detailed above for Compound 133 was used. 2-fluoro-5-nitrotoluene (310 mg, 2.0 mmol), potassium tert-butoxide (494 mg, 4.4 mmol) and 2-((tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy)ethan-1-ol (705 mg, 4.0 mmol) in THF (6 mL) was stirred for 3 hr at room temperature to give the product after workup (yield assumed quantitative=623 mg). The product was used in the next step without further purification.
